Quants are Quantinal's platform currency — 1 Quant = $1 USD. Everything you do uses quants: running trackers, creating spaces, and more. Quants are the universal unit of cost across Quantinal.
How Quants Work​
- Top up your balance — Purchase quants in your account
- Use services — Each operation deducts quants automatically
- Track spending — View your transaction history and balance
What Costs Quants?​
There are two types of costs:
- Capacity (Monthly) — Pre-paid storage and throughput for your Space
- Inference (Per-Run) — Pay-as-you-go cost each time a tracker runs, based on skills and reasoning mode

Why Quants?​
Quants power a usage-based, pay-as-you-go model:
- Simple — One currency for everything, no hidden fees
- Flexible — Inference is pure pay-as-you-go with no minimums. Space capacity has a small monthly minimum (starting at ~$0.55/month for the minimal plan), but you can scale it up or down at any time
- Transparent — See exactly what each operation costs before you run it
- Earn — Publish your trackers on the marketplace and earn quants when others use your results
